Conisbrough Castle

Conisbrough Castle is a fascinating place for explorers of any age, with its unique circular keep and the well preserved foundations of a medieval bailey complete with holding cell and toilet pit! Emma worked with English Heritage staff to create four new Discovery Visits to help visiting schools get the most out of this wonderful site.  She designed new Keep tours, for key stages 1, 2 and 3, plus a tour of the Bailey, all of which focused students on observation skills and learning from evidence.  The tours incorporate role play and interactivity, and even some authentic smells!

Tours are being delivered by the site's excellent team of interpretation staff, available for schools to book now.  Emma also created a new Step Inside family trail to help family visitors enjoy their time at Consibrough.
