Hadrian's Wall is part of the 'Frontiers of the Roman Empire' World Heritage Site, the only transnational World Heritage Site currently in existence. Emma worked with the Hadrian's Wall Education Forum and heritage consultant Alison Bodley to create a four-year business plan for learning across the Wall.

Emma worked with Edinburgh-based company The Sport and Leisure Consultancy to develop and pilot a Quality Improvement System for museums across Scotland. The system builds on the Scottish government's How Good Is Our Culture and Sport? framework and will result in a final version to be rolled out across all local authorities in Scotland.
