Museum Development Yorkshire

As part of Museum Development Yorkshire's support package to museums in the region Emma was commissioned to work with museum services in Harrogate and Calderdale to support them with audience development research and planning early in 2013. The work included:

  • Assessing existing audience data and research strategies for both services
  • Creating research questionnaires for Harrogate Museums and Arts to use with users and non-users to gain a better understanding of current and potential audiences for its sites, together with standardised methods of analysing and reporting on the resulting data
  • Supporting Calderdale Museum Service in developing and implementing an audience survey, and advising on data capture and reporting
  • Working with both services to plan how they will deliver against future audience development priorities.
